Job summary

Target Corp is seeking a Lead Engineer for Cloud Security with a focus on Security Governance. The role leads engineering workflows and services that make cloud security governance practical at Target scale, guiding onboarding, exception management, and collaboration with product and platform teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in security governance and enterprise-scale implementations.
• Strong ability to design and improve security workflows, evidence, and remediation processes.
• Experience driving adoption of security capabilities across multiple engineering teams.
• Ability to translate requirements into usable technical workflows and guidance.
• Familiarity with cloud security controls, CSPM/CNAPP, and API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Owns governance engineering end-to-end and sets technical direction for cloud security workflows.
• Designs, builds, and operates exception management lifecycle with traceability and evidence.
• Leads onboarding and adoption of Cloud Security capabilities across accounts, projects and teams.
• Partners with Security Architecture and domain owners to translate standards into guidance and workflows.
• Establishes reporting for adoption, coverage, exception quality, and workflow health.
