Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Specialist Solutions Architect to guide customers in building big data solutions on Databricks. You will lead architectural design, security-focused cloud infrastructure, and end-to-end pipeline optimization across multiple cloud environments.

You will collaborate with Solution Architects, deliver PoCs, and help expand usage of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. Fluent Japanese and strong English business proficiency are required for this Tokyo-based role.

Qualifications

• Experience guiding customers in big data projects on Databricks.
• Strong background in production-grade data pipelines and Spark.
• Hands-on cloud infrastructure design and security best practices.
• Experience with automation, CI/CD, and tooling for data workloads.
• Programming experience in Python, Scala, SQL, or R.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to guide strategic customers to successful implementations.
• Architect production workloads and optimize end-to-end pipelines.
• Deliver security-focused cloud infrastructure expertise for the Databricks platform.
• Support advanced technical sales with PoCs and workload sizing.
• Contribute to Databricks Community via tutorials and talks.
