Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery partners while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, packages, and belongings according to site procedures and screening requirements.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials or authorization for personnel and visitors entering designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report to site Contacts as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the distribution location and perimeter, documenting observations.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Examiner in Irving, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Job Schedule

• Sat: 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sun: 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Screen individuals, packages, and/or belongings in accordance with site procedures and applicable screening requirements.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials or authorization for personnel and visitors entering designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the distribution location and perimeter, documenting observations and reporting irregular conditions.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
