Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Bicycle Patrol Driver in Cary, NC. You will perform unarmed security patrols by bike, foot, and vehicle, maintaining a visible presence and delivering excellent customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members at a public education location.

This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to ride a bicycle. You will work daytime shifts and contribute to safeguarding people and property in a dynamic

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be able to ride a bike.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, school district policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, student or visitor concerns, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate observations to appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, maintaining professional interactions and reporting unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Complete required patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be able to ride a bike.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
