Job summary

Cook Solutions Group in Portland, OR is seeking a Full-Time Security Service Technician with strong customer service, communication, and time management skills. You will install wires and equipment, respond to service calls, conduct site surveys, perform startup and commissioning, and train customers.

Qualifications

• 2 - 5 years of electronic and physical security service and installation experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of security equipment such as alarm systems, access control, video, CCTV systems, drive up systems, & under-counter teller equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of Bosch, DMP, March DVR, 3VR, and/or Lenel Access control product lines preferred.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Ability to travel up to a week if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Travels to client’s site for alarm failure troubleshooting and repair. May travel up to a week at a time.
• Installs and services electronic and physical security products including pulling wire per site requirements.
• Installs and wires electronic equipment used in systems.
• Accounts for all installation and service tools and job parts.
• Tests all installed equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electronic and physical security equipment.
• Communicates project status to management for installation or service.
• Communicates with customers on job status or completion.
• Conducts site surveys upon management request.
• Completes and turns in required paperwork on time (time sheets, expense reports).
• Follows Purchasing procedures and uses the database system for materials.
• Maintains and controls truck stock inventory and reports during audits.
• Maintains security of company/customer property and information.
• Ensures company vehicle is maintained and clean.
• Maintains safe driving practices.
• Trains less experienced employees on procedures and techniques.
• Ensures work meets CSG quality standards.
• Complies with safety regulations at all times.
• Solicits new business when not on service/installation.
