Job description

Company: Colonial Security Services
Territory: Philadelphia, PA
Position: Security Field Supervisor/Inspector
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Rotating Monthly Schedule (Mornings, Evenings, Overnights, and Weekends)

We are currently seeking Security Field Supervisors to work in Center City Philadelphia. This position may also check in on accounts in New Jersey. This is a driving position, and you will be in a company vehicle, so a driver's license is required.

Job Details:

  1. Conduct on-site security officer inspections at our accounts
    • Ensure that all officers at assigned sites are in full and proper uniform, which means shirts tucked in and uniforms kept clean and wrinkle-free.
    • Ensure that all officers at assigned sites are fully knowledgeable of their duties
      • Some sites require training in package logging systems, KeyTrax systems, and resident management systems.
    • Ensure the officers are alert and attentive to their surroundings (observe from afar when possible to verify the officer is awake and not doing anything they should not be doing).
    • Make sure the officers have a valid company ID or guard license depending on the state.
    • Verify that our officers know and have emergency contact information for our Dispatch, Management, and Client.
    • Ensure that the officers are keeping their posts well-kept and putting away any packages that are delivered to their designated sites.
  2. While on-site, ensure that officers are properly trained on our technology system
    • Ensure the officers know how to log into the system, submit incident reports, and activity logs, and conduct tours.
  3. From time to time, you will be asked to pick up items from the base office in Chestnut Hill and deliver in the field
    • This may include uniforms and sometimes paychecks.
  4. You may be asked to work on special assignments during your shift.
  5. If you come across a dark post, you will be required to hold there until the Manager & Dispatch department can establish coverage.
  6. You will be responsible for issuing disciplinary reports on any infractions found and submitting reports to the office & your direct Manager.
  7. You will submit an inspection report at every site for each account you visit while you are still at the site
    • List all officers who were on duty at the time of the inspection (report allows for multiple officers per inspection).
  8. Report on everything you see; don't leave anything out!
  9. You will be required to handle BASIC vehicle maintenance, which could include putting oil in a vehicle and changing a tire, so basic vehicle maintenance knowledge is a must.

Job Requirements:

  1. Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  2. Must have a basic understanding of Automotive Repair (i.e., changing a tire, checking oil, etc.).
  3. Prior experience conducting site inspections.
  4. Ability to write detailed inspection reports.
  5. 4+ years of recent Security experience.
  6. Security Field Supervisory experience of at least 1 year preferred.

Compensation:

  • This position is bonus-eligible based on KPI metrics (to be discussed).
