Job summary

DriveWealth seeks a Head of Security Engineering to own security strategy, roadmap, and delivery across product and corporate environments. You will lead the Security Engineering team, implement scalable controls, and partner with Engineering, IT, Risk, and Compliance to protect customer data and regulatory compliance.

You will guide security across AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD, build threat modeling, and mature security operations while enabling product innovation in a fast-paced fintech setting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of security, software, or infrastructure engineering experience.
• 4+ years directly managing technical teams.
• Expertise in AWS and Kubernetes security; securing APIs and modern delivery pipelines.
• Identity and access management, endpoint security, remote access, network security, and SaaS security knowledge.
• Experience building security platforms, telemetry pipelines, and automation for security operations.
• Ability to review code and infrastructure changes; use Python/Java and IaC tools like Terraform.
• Strong judgment balancing security, reliability, developer productivity, and cost.
• Ability to influence technical decisions and communicate with executives and engineers.
• Experience delivering security capabilities in regulated financial services; SEC/FINRA experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; relevant security/AWS/Kubernetes certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define multiyear security engineering strategy and quarterly roadmaps across product and corporate environments.
• Hire, coach, and develop a team of security engineers; manage performance and growth.
• Manage backlogs, budgets, vendors, and dependencies; report residual risks to leadership.
