Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Sr Director of Security Engineering in Seattle to lead CAES and centralized software engineering. You will supervise pod-based teams, set delivery standards, and own capacity planning across the portfolio to balance business value and risk reduction.

You will partner with product leadership to sequence development, drive secure-by-design practices, and ensure production readiness while mentoring leaders across the organization.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in technology building and shipping software at enterprise scale.
• Leading software engineering teams with performance management and career development.
• Experience delivering and operating a platform used by multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead centralized software engineering across CTC Architecture and CAES.
• Organize engineers into product-aligned pods for threat modeling, architecture, automation, testing and quality.
• Set and enforce secure-by-design, data protection, and resilience standards across platforms.
• Own technical architecture decisions and allocate engineering capacity to meet the operating plan.
• Collaborate with CAES Product Director to sequence work by urgency and business value.
• Establish operating model, pod structure, delivery standards, and capacity planning.
• Provide engineering sign-off on release readiness with domain leads.
• Define and track delivery, quality, and adoption metrics tied to outcomes.
