Job summary

JPMorganChase in Seattle seeks a Lead Security Engineer to join the Cybersecurity Technology and Controls team, delivering secure software solutions and preventing misuse across business functions. You will be a core technical contributor responsible for tamper-proof, audit-defensible security solutions.

You will guide threat modeling, vulnerability testing, and secure development practices, mentoring teams and ensuring auditability and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Plan, design, and implement enterprise-level security solutions.
• Experience leading teams in AI-enabled security workflows with data sensitivity awareness.
• Review AI-assisted recommendations before adoption ensuring security and auditability.
• Experience building internal tools, workflow automation, or pipeline management.
• Expertise in IAM technologies including OAuth2.0, SAML, ABAC/RBAC/Policy-Based controls, and OPA.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Node.js with production-grade code delivery.
• Strong understanding of agile, CI/CD, resiliency, security, and service ownership.
• Extensive experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability, and pen testing.

Responsibilities

• Execute secure solutions with design, development and troubleshooting beyond routine approaches.
• Develop secure production code and review code from others.
• Minimize vulnerabilities by following regulations and conducting testing and threat scenarios.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address security needs during vulnerabilities.
• Leverage enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate threat modeling and security docs, ensuring data handling.
• Apply reuse-first, AI-assisted practices in SDLC to strengthen testing and control validation.
