Job summary

HB Global, LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to own security operations and engineering across the enterprise. The role is hands-on and generalist, spanning threat hunting, monitoring, incident response, and security tool management.

You will work with Azure, Entra ID, Okta, Mimecast, CrowdStrike, Cisco Meraki and other security controls, partner with divisions, and report to IT leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering, security operations, or a blended security/IT role.
• Hands-on experience with EDR/SIEM and identity management.
• Experience securing Microsoft 365 and cloud environments (Azure).
• Strong incident response, threat-hunting, and governance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day threat hunting, monitoring, and alert triage across security platforms.
• Investigate, contain, and remediate security incidents end to end; document findings.
• Tune detections and alerts to improve fidelity and reduce noise.
• Administer identity and access security across Entra ID, AD, Okta, MFA, and conditional access.
• Manage endpoint protection, DNS security, and backup/recovery posture in partnership with IT.
