Job summary

CBIZ is seeking a Lead Security Engineer (Cloud & Enterprise Security Engineering) to design, implement, harden, and continually improve security controls across cloud and hybrid environments.

The role emphasizes engineering secure‑by‑default solutions, automation, and long‑term security maturity. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience securing AWS, Microsoft 365, hybrid identity, and data protection domains.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Information Security or Security Engineering.
• Demonstrated hands‑on experience securing enterprise environments across cloud, identity, endpoint, network, and data protection domains.
• Strong scripting and systems skills including PowerShell, Python, and Bash.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, harden, and maintain enterprise security controls and reference architectures across cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Engineer and operationalize controls for identity protection, phishing defense, DLP, and conditional access.
• Build and continuously improve core security platforms and integrations (SIEM, SOAR, XDR/EDR, log pipelines).
• Develop automation to support enrichment, orchestration, reporting, and evidence collection.
