Job summary

Autonomai Recruitment is seeking an Information Security Engineer for a global fintech client in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The role focuses on assessing risk, strengthening controls, and partnering with IT and engineering teams to improve the firm's security posture.

You'll design and support controls for vulnerability management, anti-malware, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and secure CI/CD practices, while staying current on threats in financial services. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in Information Security Engineering.
• Strong understanding of threat and vulnerability management.
• Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux systems.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Active Directory or similar directory services.
• Familiarity with security event and incident management.
• Strong communication and prioritisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess security risks across infrastructure and applications.
• Design and support controls covering vulnerability management, anti-malware, IDS/IPS, SIEM, network monitoring, and user behaviour analytics.
• Partner with IT and engineering teams to remediate risks.
• Support application security through static analysis, dependency management, and secure CI/CD practices.
• Contribute to security automation and internal tooling.
• Stay current on emerging threats in financial services.
