Job summary

Autonomai Recruitment is seeking an Information Security Engineer for a leading global fintech company in New York. You will evaluate risk, strengthen controls, and collaborate with global IT and engineering teams to improve the security posture of custom-built infrastructure.

Responsibilities include assessing risks across infrastructure, supporting vulnerability management and SIEM, and enabling secure CI/CD practices while staying ahead of threats in financial services.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Information Security Engineering.
• Strong understanding of threat and vulnerability management.
• Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux systems.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Experience with Active Directory or similar directory services.
• Familiarity with security event and incident management.
• Strong communication and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high visibility.
• Direct access to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assess security risks across infrastructure and applications.
• Design and support controls covering vulnerability management, anti-malware, IDS/IPS, SIEM, network monitoring, and user behaviour analytics.
• Partner with IT and engineering teams to remediate risks.
• Support application security through static analysis, dependency management, and secure CI/CD practices.
• Contribute to security automation and internal tooling.
• Stay current on emerging threats in financial services.
