Job summary

American Fidelity seeks a Security Operations Engineer to design and implement secure solutions across on‑prem, cloud and hybrid environments. The role leads tool integrations and builds automated security utilities to support identity management, vulnerability management, application security, incident response and governance.

Qualifications

• Identify, architect, implement and maintain automated security solutions across identity, vulnerability, application security and incident response.
• Lead integrations between security technologies and business software in on-prem, cloud and hybrid environments.
• Build and review security utilities, playbooks and tools to enable high-speed security monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Respond to, resolve and elevate security incidents; escalate unresolved exposures.
• Mentor other teams to improve security understanding and awareness.
• Evaluate use of ML/AI and data analytics for security decision making.
• Support governance and compliance programs following NIST/Hi-Trust practices.
