Job summary

Payhawk is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to strengthen the organization's security posture through proactive monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response. Based in the US, you will join our IT & Security Team to safeguard enterprise systems and data.

You will drive security baselines, coordinate remediation with engineering and infrastructure, and mentor junior staff while contributing to secure configurations and threat detection across endpoints.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related field.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, IT, or related field.
• Professional security certifications are a plus (e.g., Security+, Azure/AWS security engineer, CEH).

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation and rollout of security controls across the org.
• Run vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with teams.
• Manage endpoint security, patching, and security configurations.
• Oversee MDM and endpoint protection platforms and policies.
• Monitor security alerts with SIEM/EDR and respond to incidents.
• Document investigations and actions for audit trails.
