Job summary

A-STAFFING, INC. seeks an Engineer in Professional Services to conduct security assessments and design robust security solutions for our clients in the United States.

The role involves building and upgrading security technology, coordinating with Sales & Marketing on cybersecurity offerings, and performing installations at client sites with occasional travel. The position reports to the Manager of Professional Services, with responsibilities for documentation, project records, and status

Qualifications

• Native level in Japanese, Fluent in English.
• Experience delivering IT security solutions to customers.
• Ability to perform site installations and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments for key customers and design security systems.
• Build, upgrade security technology for networks and data transmission.
• Coordinate sales of cybersecurity products with Sales & Marketing.
• Perform installation and troubleshooting at site; travel may be required.
• Prepare and maintain project records of installation and configuration for each customer.
• Report project status and troubleshooting progress to the team lead.
• Archive actual solutions and countermeasures for future reference.
• Manage pre-sales and post-sales project delivery with vendors/subcontractors.
• Research product trends and verify new technologies; prepare proposals and presentations.

Engineer, Professional Services

2. Description of Overall Responsibilities

• Conducts security assessments for primary customers of IIJ America, and designs securitysystems and processes.

• Builds, maintains, and upgrades security technology, such as log analysis, endpoint security,network security and so on, for the safe use of computer networks and the transmission andretrieval of information.

• Plans, coordinates, and implements the sales of new products and services in areas such as cybersecurity with Sales & Marketing Departments

• Performs installation and troubleshooting at site. (Required business trip.)

• Composes and issue work records and project records of installation and configuration for eachcustomer.

• Reports the status of each project and troubleshooting progress to your team/project leader.

• Reports and archive actual solutions and countermeasures of troubleshooting for future reference.

• Controls project management for both pre-sales and post-sales.

• Controls projects, vendors and subcontractors for delivery and completion of projects on time.

• Performs product research and market trend analysis as requested by your team leader andverifies new technologies.

• Prepares written presentations, proposal and/or reports as requested by your team leader andperforms presentation to customers.

• Prepares operations and procedures manuals in operating more efficiently and effectively.

Maintain the following latest standards of technologies to provide appropriate IT and Securitysolutions to meet the customer's requirement.

Must be native level in Japanese, Fluent in English.

• Microsoft, Citirx, VMware and other major software vendor's product.

• Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto and other major network vendor's devices.

• Unix/Linux, Windows server operation and maintenance.

• Security software and solutions for servers and PCs.

• Security Tools such as SASE, EDR, Vulnerability check and so on.

• Local and Wide Area Network technologies.

• Virtualization and storage technologies.

• Managed Service Provider (MSP), Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) Operation

• Secure configuration guidelines such as CIS Benchmark, etc.

3. Reporting

This position reports to Manager, department of Professional Services. Others will be designated byPresident & CEO if necessary.
