Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Security Engineer II to protect our cloud platforms, GPU clusters, and production environments. In the Product & Platform Security team, you will investigate findings, separate real risk from noise, and work with engineering to resolve causes.

This hands-on role covers cloud posture, threat triage, telemetry coverage, and forensics. You will triage alerts, classify risk, ensure proper logging, and translate incident lessons into stronger controls.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years in security operations, cloud security, or incident response.
• Experience triaging findings and alerts to distinguish real risk.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CSPM.
• Familiarity with logging, SIEM, and telemetry for threat detection.
• Experience with incident response and digital forensics.
• Comfort with Kubernetes, containers, Linux, and APIs.
• Clear written communication of findings and next steps.
• Collaborative ownership of root-cause resolution.

Responsibilities

• Review CSPM findings across cloud platforms and GPU infra.
• Validate findings in live environments and assign severity.
• Collaborate with platform and engineering to remediate.
• Identify recurring misconfigurations and build guardrails.
• Triage production alerts and determine real risk and blast radius.
• Escalate incidents and document decisions.
• Ensure telemetry coverage for logging and SIEM.
• Reconstruct incidents and support root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to post-incident reviews and improvements.
