SpaceX is hiring a Security Engineer to join the security engineering team. You will design, implement, and maintain security solutions for rockets, spacecraft, and Starlink. The role emphasizes authentication, identity services, automation, and cloud security in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in development with modern languages and a strong background in security architectures, with a focus on reducing risk across SpaceX systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of development experience with modern programming languages (Python, C++, Rust, Go) or a STEM degree
• Experience developing security architectures and primitives (TLS, Zero-Trust)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain security solutions for SpaceX systems and data.
• Implement authentication and identity services, including MFA and identity servers.
• Automate security workflows and cross-team tooling.
• Develop network security controls and application layer protections (WAFs).
• Enforce cloud security policies and centralized config management.
