Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Security Engineer to support our cybersecurity solution delivery, product evaluations, and advisory services. This hybrid role is located in Westlake, OH and requires hands-on customer interaction with engineers and leadership.

You will conduct technical discovery, assessments, and testing, while helping test and compare cybersecurity tools and controls. The ideal candidate is curious, organized, and collaborative across teams.

Qualifications

• Certifications such as Security+ or CISSP Associate or progress toward them.
• 1–3 years of cybersecurity experience or related work.
• Experience with CIS Controls or NIST CSF frameworks.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security tools (Entra ID, Defender, Purview).

Responsibilities

• Lead customer-facing discovery meetings and interviews.
• Perform cybersecurity assessments and audits per standards relevant to customers.
• Document findings, risks, gaps, and recommendations clearly.
• Support ongoing customer engagements, including QBRs and remediation tracking.
