Job summary

DataServ/xFact is seeking a Security Engineer to support cybersecurity delivery and improvement across offerings. This hybrid role is based in Westlake, OH and involves working with customers, engineers, and leadership in a hands-on, discovery-driven capacity.

The ideal candidate will participate in security assessments, tool evaluations, and advisory discussions, with strong focus on documentation, collaboration, and practical security improvements for clients.

Qualifications

• Security certifications or progress toward them (Security+, SSCP, CISSP Associate).
• 1–3 years of cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with CIS Controls or NIST CSF.
• Ability to work with customers and translate technical findings into actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer-facing discovery meetings and interviews.
• Perform cybersecurity assessments and audits.
• Document findings and remediation steps clearly.
• Support product evaluations and internal testing.
