Job summary

DataServ/xFact is seeking a Security Engineer in a hybrid role based in Westlake, OH. You will participate in discovery, assessments, audits, and advisory discussions while evaluating and testing cybersecurity tools used internally and by customers.

The role emphasizes being curious, organized, technically capable, and comfortable working with customers, engineers, and leadership. Relevant certifications and 1–3 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Relevant certifications or progress toward them (Security+, SSCP, CISSP Associate, etc.).
• 1-3 years working as a cybersecurity professional or relevant experience.
• Experience with CIS Controls, NIST CSF or similar frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and help lead customer-facing discovery meetings, including Technical Discovery Interviews and Key Stakeholder Interviews.
• Perform cybersecurity assessments and audits aligned to frameworks such as CIS Controls, NIST, and regulatory requirements.
• Document findings, risks, gaps, and recommendations clearly within assessment workbooks and reporting tools.
• Support ongoing customer engagements, including follow-up meetings and remediation tracking.
