Job summary

Fortinet, Inc. is seeking a Jr. IT Engineer in Sunnyvale to support 24x7 network and server systems.

Based at our Sunnyvale Headquarters, you will administer security platforms (WAF, Endpoint protection, SIEM), participate in security incident investigations, and manage vulnerability remediation across enterprise environments. You will fine-tune policies, lead CIS benchmark scanning, and develop security automation with Python to boost efficiency.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with network/security fundamentals and Fortinet devices preferred.
• Ability to work in on-call rotations and handle security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Administer security platforms including WAF, Endpoint protection, SIEM; provide Tier-3 support.
• Participate in security incident investigations.
• Manage vulnerability management across infrastructure; coordinate remediation.
• Fine-tune WAF and endpoint policies based on alerts and business needs.
• Lead CIS benchmark-based compliance scanning and security hardening.
• Develop security automation using Python to improve efficiency and visibility.
• Respond to and resolve support requests; coordinate with users.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
