The position requires active Top-Secret clearance and strong cloud, incident response, and threat-detection expertise.

Security Engineer

Full Time Chantilly, VA, US

Salary Range: $160,000.00 To $170,000.00 Annually

This opportunity is for a potential full-time position, contingent upon contract award.

Summary

E-INFOSOL LLC is seeking a motivated and results-driven Security Engineer with at least 8 years of relevant professional experience in the cleared IT government contracting space to join our growing team inWashington, DC or Chantilly, VA.

Position Overview

The Security Engineer will lead security engineering efforts across multiple systems, design and implement security controls, support cloud-based platforms, and provide technical mentorship while ensuring compliance with security policies, defense-in-depth principles, and organizational cybersecurity requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The Security Engineer will be responsible for securing enterprise applications, cloud environments, and critical infrastructure while advancing the organization's security posture through proactive monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret clearance with capability to obtain SCI/CI Poly if needed to meet contract requirements.
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or related field preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience

Required Skills

• Experience securing applications, cloud platforms, networks, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Knowledge of incident response, cyber resiliency, vulnerability management, and threat detection.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency with security monitoring, logging, SIEM, and alerting tools.
• Strong understanding of network security, encryption, authentication, and access control technologies.
• Experience developing security policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CISSP, Security+, CCSP, CISM, GIAC, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or similar certifications.
• Experience supporting government, defense, intelligence, or highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture, NIST frameworks, RMF, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with DevSecOps, container security, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security practices.
• Experience managing COMSEC resources or cryptographic key management systems.
• Familiarity with security automation, SOAR platforms, and advanced threat hunting techniques.
