E-INFOSOL is seeking a highly skilled COTS System Administrator to join our Washington, DC team. The role supports a COTS physical access system and partners with the government Product Manager to provide technical direction and O&M support within an agile framework.

Qualified candidates have a Top-Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and 8+ years’ experience across networking, servers/VMs, databases, and identity services, including Microsoft Entra ID and SQL Server.

Qualifications

  • Active Top-Secret Security Clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in IT/system administration.
  • 7+ years configuring ports/protocols/firewalls and network connectivity.
  • 7+ years Windows/Linux server environments and VM platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
  • 5+ years with Microsoft SQL Server and data concepts.
  • 5+ years deploying COTS in government environments.
  • 7+ years scripting for automation (PowerShell, Python).
  • 7+ years knowledge of authentication/identity services (Microsoft Entra ID).
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban; Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence).

Responsibilities

  • Provide development and O&M support for a production system during core and non-core hours as needed.
  • Install, configure, and validate COTS software in test and production.
  • Coordinate integration with cross-functional teams including networking and IAM.
  • Evaluate requirements and integration points for readiness.
  • Prepare documentation for system accreditation, compliance, and security assessments.

E-INFOSOL LLC is seeking a highly motivatedCOTS System Administratorto join our innovative, customer-focused team in Washington, DC.

Summary

The COTSSystem Administratorwill support the implementation of a COTS physical access system. The Senior System Administrator will partner with the government Product Manager in providing technical direction and strategic solutions, O&M support, working with the vendor, and adhere to agile methodology and kanban and scrum ceremonies. Key skills needed for the position include experiences with the technology and business tools listed below and strong verbal and written skills and demonstrates self-organizing and initiative competencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide development and O&M support for a production system during core working hours and non-core working hours as needed to meet mission needs.
  • Understand and assist with the installation, configuration, and validation of the Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software product in test and production environments.
  • Coordinate integration activities with cross‑functional teams, including networking, server/VM administrators, identity and access management, and application owners.
  • Evaluate system requirements, dependencies, and integration points to ensure compatibility and operational readiness.
  • Understand, communicate, support and coordinate support activities including;
  • Networking - such as ports, protocols, firewalls, and load balancers as required for system connectivity.
  • Compute - such as server and virtual machine provisioning, configuration, and performance tuning.
  • Database - collaborate with database teams to configure, query, and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server instances.
  • Identity and Access – authentication and authorization mechanisms including single sign on and possess knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Integration - work with APIs and integration frameworks, including Microsoft Graph, to support data exchange and system interoperability.
  • Assist in preparing documentation required for system accreditation, compliance, and security assessments.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including installation guides, configuration baselines, and operational procedures.
  • Provide hands‑on troubleshooting and issue resolution throughout testing and deployment phases.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and technical considerations clearly to stakeholders and leadership.

Qualification

  • Active Top-Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience
  • 7 years of experience understanding ports, protocols, firewalls, and network connectivity troubleshooting.
  •  
  • 7 years of experience with Windows and/or Linux server environments and virtual machine platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
  •  
  • Solid understanding of relational database concepts and 5 years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  •  
  • 5 years of experience supporting COTS product deployments in government environments
  •  
  • 7 years of scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or similar) for automation or integration tasks.
  •  
  • 7 years of experience working knowledge of authentication and identity services, including Microsoft Entra ID.
  •  
  • Broad technical experience across networking, servers, virtualization, identity management, and system integration.
  •  
  • Solid understanding of system accreditation, compliance frameworks, or security assessment processes.
  •  
  • Strong ability to interpret technical requirements, identify gaps, and coordinate with specialized teams to resolve them.
  •  
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum and Kanban frameworks/methodologies.
  •  
  • Experience with Atlassian tools to include Jira and Confluence.
  •  
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  •  
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  •  
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative, work independently, and “roll up their sleeves” to drive tasks to completion.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with the Certipath TrustVistor or similar product.
