Job summary

LBO Technology, LLC in Washington, DC seeks a Security Electronics Technician to support a federal customer. You will perform installation, troubleshooting and maintenance for security, video management and IT systems.

Candidates should have strong hands-on experience with access control, cabling tests, and system design support. Public Trust ability preferred; associate degree or equivalent experience; Milestone experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience (2 years).
• Public Trust or ability to obtain one.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in electronics, video management, installation and maintenance activities.
• Comprehensive understanding of electronic equipment design, development, evaluation, testing, installation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of capabilities and use of various electronic equipment and systems.
• Milestone experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute troubleshooting procedures for security and video management systems.
• Identify and document system malfunctions, implement corrections, and advise on system abnormalities that impact future design considerations.
• Configure and maintain access control systems.
• Support hardware/software and other equipment configuration and operations.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests.
• Assist with system design, maintenance work, customer training, and technical support.
• Perform comprehensive TIA/EIA-568 compliant cable testing, documentation, and termination for fiber, Cat-6, Cat-5, RG-6, RG-59, and RS-485.
• Develop maintenance standards and procedures for use by others.
• Analyze repair practices and develop procedural instructions for use by others on methods and steps to repair equipment.
• Analyze systems operations and test results to ensure proper systems operation and determine maintenance requirements beyond standard solutions.
