The Security Technician will be responsible for the installation and servicing of Access Control, Video Management, Intrusion Detection, and Intercom Systems. We are seeking self-starting, technical, and creative individuals with experience in complex security systems.
Position Requires:
- Active Secret Government clearance (preferred)
- Report onsite to Washington DC/Metro area
- Occasional Continental U.S. Travel
Duties include:
- Installation, programming, and servicing a variety of security systems. Experience and/or certifications with systems such as Lenel, Milestone, RS2, DSX, Brivo, Pelco, Exacq Vision, Interlogix, Bosch, DMP, and Aiphone are desired but not required.
- Interpreting Statements of Work, blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications to determine installation requirements. Ability to interpret manuals and wiring diagrams, utilizing knowledge of electronics.
- Managing onsite installation of Security Systems and collaborating with the Project Manager to develop schedules.
- Executing technical aspects of multiple projects with varying timelines, including preparing project documentation such as commissioning reports, as-built drawings, programming, customer training, close-out documentation, and ongoing technical support.
- Identifying potential project risks, communicating with relevant parties, and assisting in developing strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
