Job summary

Allied Universal in Carleton, MI is seeking a Security Officer Driver Patrol Documentation to safeguard clients across technology, media, and telecom locations, performing vehicle and foot patrols, monitoring access points, and maintaining visibility to deter incidents.

The position requires a valid driver’s license; CPR/First Aid is preferred, and prior customer service experience is a plus. Schedule is Daytime with multiple weekday shifts; training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check is required.
• Drug screen is required.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations, while helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and documenting activities as required.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with site contacts, coworkers, and emergency responders, and complete accurate daily activity and incident reports.
