Job summary

Allied Universal in San Jose, CA is seeking a Security Officer Driver Patrol Route Coverage who protects tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors while delivering outstanding customer service.

You will conduct routine patrols of retail common areas, parking facilities, and perimeters, monitor access points, respond to incidents calmly, document observations, and hand off shifts with clear reporting. Pay is $26.25 per hour, full-time, with a consistent evening schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail areas, parking facilities, building exteriors and perimeters.
• Respond calmly to incidents, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and deliveries per property policies.
• Prepare incident reports, daily logs, and shift handoff communications.
