Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Vehicle Patrol Driver in San Jose, CA to serve clients across Retail/Malls and other sectors. This role offers a flexible schedule via our Claim a Shift platform and emphasizes visible patrols, customer service, and a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Background check and drug screening will be conducted.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and employees by following site policies and security procedures.
Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly, contacting appropriate personnel or services as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols to deter unauthorized activity across the property.
Observe and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, or suspicious activity per site procedures.
Assist with access control, visitor direction, and crowd management at retail operations and events.
