Community Health Network seeks a Security Dispatcher to coordinate safety and security actions across our campuses. You will monitor public safety, protect property, and respond rapidly to incidents affecting patients, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications include strong communication, leadership, and the ability to obtain essential information. Prior security or public safety experience and cross-site training are preferred at this hospital network.

• Monitor and provide immediate response to public safety, property protection and risk management situations.
• Coordinate radio traffic between hospital security and police and fire responders.
• Participate in training and testing after the onboarding period.

The Security Dispatcher works as a pivotal member to coordinate Safety and Security department actions provided to patients, visitors, and employees of Community Health Network. The Security Dispatcher monitors and provides appropriate immediate response to all public safety, property protection, risk management, customer and staff education, investigations, parking, and security contract services situations affecting Community Health Network.

• Knowledge of Federal, State, and local municipal agencies and city departments
• Coordination, reception, and transmission of radio traffic between Hospital Security and location police and fire
• Must retain cross training for all Community Health Network sites
• Ability to work in potential high stress emergencies to coordinate security resources
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and/or equivalent experience in Public Safety preferred
• Previous security, law enforcement or central station operations experience preferred
• Must successfully complete Central Dispatch Officer written and practical testing after the training period is completed
