Job summary

Sentry Force Security in the Hampton Roads area seeks a dependable Security Dispatcher to act as the central communications hub among security officers, supervisors, management, clients, and emergency services.

Responsibilities include dispatching officers, monitoring systems, maintaining logs, and coordinating with management. The role requires a high school diploma and strong communication skills, with shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to stay calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize competing responsibilities.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn security-related software.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Dependable and able to work independently.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to radio and telephone communications.
• Dispatch security officers to incidents, calls for service, and assigned locations.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Monitor officer activity and status throughout assigned shifts.
• Receive and relay information quickly and accurately.
• Communicate with supervisors and management regarding incidents and operational concerns.
• Assist with emergency response and notification procedures.
• Monitor security systems, cameras, alarms, and access control systems as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality of company, client, and security-related information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
