Job description

Metrea's Platform Technology Team is searching for a results-oriented Security Developer with a deep understanding of the M365 technical and security capabilities. Aerospace industry experience would be ideal. Primary responsibilities include cybersecurity analytics development, testing configuration and configuration management, software security and risk assessment, customized configuration policies, profiles, system features, and the development of security dashboards and reports. The position requires a strong technical background and a good understanding of cybersecurity events and tables, coupled with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel. Work will primarily be remote, with minimal travel possible.

Essential Functions:

  1. Work closely with the security and operations team to develop and enhance cybersecurity infrastructure.
  2. Develop analytics and metrics to support incident response protocols.
  3. Conduct threat modeling and support risk and vulnerability assessments of Metrea's information systems.
  4. Analyze the security of new or existing software applications across the enterprise.
  5. Review, test, and improve existing cybersecurity baselines and configurations on M365 Intune.
  6. Develop automation scripts to support threat hunting and alert generation on M365 Sentinel.
  7. Generate and review security reports for senior management.
  8. Support the evaluation and improvement of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  9. Identify, prioritize, strategize, and mitigate risks across the enterprise.
  10. Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and trends to develop cybersecurity awareness programs and promote a security culture within Metrea.

  8. Experience with query-based languages like KQL for developing alerts and incident detection within Metrea's SIEM.
  9. Experience with MDM configuration and profile development, preferably with M365 Intune.
  10. Strong analytical skills and the ability to systematically solve complex problems.
  11. Effective communication skills to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
  12. Promotes collaboration and teamwork.
  13. Active in staying current with cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
  14. Ability to create technical specifications and documentation.
  15. Strong analytical skills and a broad understanding of system integration.
  16. Proficiency in MS Office; Visio experience is a plus.
  17. Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
  18. Organized, focused, and capable of delivering under tight deadlines.
  19. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact across organizational levels.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role currently does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work will primarily be remote. If onsite visits are required, the role involves a clerical office setting using standard office equipment.

Position Type and Hours:

This is a full-time position, with typical hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, subject to change based on business needs. Exempt employees may need to be on-call outside these hours.
