Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking an Engineer 1 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit.

You will help design, engineer, integrate, operate, and maintain electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, and video surveillance for federal, local, and commercial customers. The role involves system programming, large-scale networking support, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, high-performance environments.

Qualifications

• Clearance/Citizen: U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Administration and maintenance of high performance computer configurations and related systems for large scale networking infrastructures.
• Develop system management tools with senior staff.
• Provide comprehensive support infrastructure for commercial, corporate, and governmental users.
• Maintain system documentation and generate weekly/monthly status reports.
• Staying current on industry trends and products; perform project setup and self-instruction.
• Install and configure networks per Installation Design Package (IDP) to meet customer needs.
• Research equipment to resolve issues during installation and testing.
• Collaborate with Design Department to identify and correct design problems.
• Suggest process improvements and cost savings for future installs.
• Provide designs for automation systems with material lists and user documentation.
