Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Principal Security Software Engineer to shape Application Security across the organization. You will partner with engineering leaders to remediate security challenges, drive secure design, and scale security practices with automation and education.

Responsibilities include threat modeling, secure system design, and mentorship of other engineers, while advancing trust-by-design principles across diverse tech stacks. This role focuses on strategic security leadership at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity with a deep background in application security.
• Experience explaining security concepts to technical and non-technical leaders.
• Proven ability to influence principal engineers and build cross-team relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead company-wide security initiatives to address critical security challenges.
• Build and nurture cross-company relationships to achieve security objectives.
• Provide guidance on product security processes and standards.
• Define and expand partnerships with key engineering teams across Roblox.
• Apply critical thinking to develop security protocols and communicate with stakeholders.
• Research and evaluate new security technologies to enhance Roblox’s posture.
• Identify threats and vulnerabilities and implement safeguarding solutions.
• Enable cross-functional teams to implement security solutions aligned with Trust-by-Design.
