Job summary

GHD is hiring a Security Design Consultant to lead electronic security system designs, including ACS, CCTV, IDS, and intercoms. You will develop construction drawings, specs, and cost estimates, collaborate with architects and engineers, and drive multi-disciplinary projects through delivery and closeout.

You will contribute from conceptual design to construction administration, manage client relationships, and ensure compliance with codes and standards while supporting a hybrid work model and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent combination.
• ASIS PSP certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• ASIS CPP certification a plus.
• Completed Software House C-Cure 9000 training.
• 5–10 years of security consulting experience.
• Experience with ATFP and CPTED.
• Expert knowledge of access control, CCTV, NVR, video analytics, network, PLC, intercom systems.
• Strong project management skills for multi-disciplinary projects on time and budget.
• Working knowledge of state and national building and energy codes.
• Excellent written and oral communication; client engagement skills.
• DoD/civil agency project experience a plus; BST experience a plus.
• Limited travel outside the Washington DC area anticipated.

Responsibilities

• Client & Customer Management using relevant systems.
• Community of Practice participation to build expertise.
• Data collection and analysis of key themes and trends.
• Engineering inspections and quality evaluation under supervision.
• Design of engineering solutions and feasibility testing.
• Adhere to HSE policies and mentor teammates on safe methods.
• Knowledge management support and guidance.
• Work within project management plan to achieve goals.
• Prepare and draft responses to bids, RFIs, and tenders.
• Design testing procedures based on product specifications.
