Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist to support intelligence work at Joint Base Langley–Eustis in Hampton, VA. The role involves developing ML/AI models, mentoring analysts, and delivering data-driven insights to inform operations.

Applicants should have a TS/SCI clearance, advanced degree with extensive experience, and strong programming skills in Python or R. Funding is expected mid-September.

Qualifications

• Current TS/SCI security clearance.
• Master's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's with 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in two or more areas: ML, data mining, advanced analytical algorithms, programming, data science, AI or software engineering.
• Experience with Python or R and COTS data extraction.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and deploy ML/AI models for operational intelligence.
• Mentor analysts on AI/ML outputs and prompts.
• Support data modeling, data aggregation, and visualization.
• Build predictive models and present findings to stakeholders.
