At Your Service LLC seeks a part-time Event Security Team Member for evening and weekend shifts at multiple venues in Chicago, IL. You will help enforce venue policies and ensure guests have a safe, enjoyable experience during events.

Requirements include a 20-hour security training certificate and at least 1 year of security experience, plus strong communication and teamwork skills. Starting pay is $20.50 per hour.

General Responsibilities:

Assist Event Security personnel in enforcing venue policies andproviding each guest with a safe, comfortable and enjoyable environment to view events through complete knowledge of venue policies, available guest services, and facility familiarization.

Demonstrated Skills:

• A 20-hour security training certificate, and 1 year of security experience required (Event crowd management experience or Criminal Justice studies preferred)
• Ability to follow direction

Specific Duties:

• Promote a family atmosphere, guest enjoyment, and safety
• Enforce all guest conduct policies
• Assist guests with disabilities
• Impart guest information and direction
• Report unsafe and unpresentable circumstances within the work area
• Have superior knowledge of facility services and physical layout
• Limit entry to restricted access areas through proper checking of credentials
• Escort athletes/performers to and from locker/dressing rooms as directed
• Perform visual bag searches at gates to prevent the entry of prohibited items
• Assist Guest Services and Guest Relations as necessary
• Clear seating areas and concourses post-event
• Prevent the departure of alcohol from inside the venue
• Facility policy enforcement
• Miscellaneous operational (day of the event) duties as directed

Qualifications:

• Must be 20 years of age or older
• Must be available to work evening and weekend hours
• Must be able to fully perform the essential functions of the job
• Must be punctual and able to comply with attendance standards
• Must be a positive, outgoing individual able to work well with large groups of people
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills
• Must have strong people skills and the ability to make firm decisions.
• A 20-hour security training certificate, and 1 year of security experience required (Event crowd management experience or Criminal Justice studies preferred)
• Must be willing and able to comply with all grooming and uniform standards.Extreme hair color, extreme facial piercings, and facial or offensive tattoos are not allowed

Additional information:

• Starting Pay Rate = $20.50 per hour
• Average work hours will not exceed 1000 hours per calendar year
• The individual may be required to sit or walk up to 2/3 of the work shift
• The individual may also be required to use their hands, stoop, kneel or reach with their hands up to 2/3 of the work shift
• The individual may also be required to lift up to 10 pounds up to 2/3 of the work shift
