Job summary

The Security Dispatch Officer – 2nd Shift at United Center in Chicago will help create a safe, comfortable environment for guests and team members by monitoring assigned areas.

Shift 3:45pm - 12:00am; duties include monitoring CCTV and alarms, operating dispatch communications, enforcing policies, conducting screenings and patrols with magnetometers and security vehicles, and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work well with large groups of people.
• Strong communication skills; English reading and speaking required.
• PERC Card certification and valid driver’s license.
• High school graduate or equivalent; 3–6 months related experience acceptable.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

The Security Dispatch Officer – 2nd Shift will ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment for all United Center team members and guests by monitoring assigned areas.

Second Shift Security Dispatch Officer 3:45pm - 12:00am

What you’ll do:

• Create a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.
• Monitor CCTV, door alarms and alarm systems.
• Operate dispatch communications, respond to guest concerns, and document incidents.
• Enforce facility policies, monitor safety and cleanliness, and resolve issues promptly.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong knowledge of the facility layout and services.
• Conduct screenings and patrols using magnetometers and security vehicles; remain active at posts and during facility walkthroughs.
• Other duties may be assigned.

What you'll need:

• Must be able to work well with large groups of people.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to speak, read and comprehend English.
• Basic knowledge of security programs.
• Must have weekend and holiday availability.
• Ability to solve problems, and handle situations with limited standardization.
• Previous security, military, and/or law enforcement experience
• High school graduate, GED, or technical school; or 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• PERC Card certification and valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand or walk for most of the shift and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds, stoop, kneel, or reach.
• Requires color vision and the ability to focus.

The pay range for this role is $23.00 per hour.

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.

The total compensation package for this position may also include 401K retirement plan with company match, paid time off and commuter benefits.
