Job summary

RedTrace Technologies is seeking a Security Control Assessor (SCA) II to lead assessments of IS security controls across collateral, SCI, and SAP environments at Peterson SFB, CO. The role requires US citizenship and TS clearance with SCI eligibility.

The candidate will oversee RMF-based assessments, advise key stakeholders, and prepare SARs and POA&M, ensuring compliance with JSIG and DoD directives. Physical lifting of up to 50lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience (4 years).
• Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in SAP, SCI or Collateral Information Systems (IS) Security and the implementation of regulations identified in the duties.
• Prior performance in the role of ISSO, ISSM, SCA.
• Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Manager Level II.
• Must be able to regularly lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, implementation and evaluation of IS security program policy, including SAP network integration.
• Assess ISs using RMF and JSIG guidance; advise ISO/IDO/PSO/DAO/AO on issues.
• Evaluate Authorization packages and make recommendations for authorization.
• Assess IS threats and determine need for additional safeguards.
• Advise on impact levels for Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability.
• Prepare SAR and ensure documentation for Authorization boundary.
• Initiate POA&M for weaknesses identified by SAR findings.
• Provide written recommendations for security authorization to Government.
• Discuss authorization recommendations and submit packages to AO/DAO.
• Assess changes to Authorization boundaries in operation.
• Review sanitization/clearing procedures per Government guidance.
• Assist Government inspections and responses to cybersecurity incidents.
• Ensure SDLC phases are addressed.
• Evaluate hardware/software security impact.
• Evaluate Continuous Monitoring effectiveness and implementation.
• Represent customer on inspection teams.
