Job summary

Virginia Housing is seeking a Security Operations Specialist to support the Security Manager and Logistics Lead in building security, safety and technical operations. This on-site role will assume routine daily responsibilities when leadership is unavailable and contribute to business continuity.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or equivalent, strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree/equivalent or several years of equivalent work experience in security operations, safety or logistics project management.
• Knowledge of concepts and terminology regarding security operations, business continuity, safety, fleet management, and facilities operations.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to change priorities without losing productivity and meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
• Knowledge of and ability to learn computerized security software and asset management principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Security Manager and Logistics Lead.
• When unavailable, assume routine daily responsibilities.
• Support building security, safety and technical operations, and business continuity.
• Demonstrate strong communication and coordination across teams.
