Job summary

Virginia Housing is seeking a Security Operations Specialist to support the Security Manager and Logistics Lead in building security, safety and technical operations. This on-site role will assume routine daily responsibilities when leadership is unavailable and contribute to business continuity.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or equivalent, strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, and a valid driver's license.

Security Operations Specialist

This important role will primarily provide support to both the Security Manager and the Logistics Lead in the areas of Building Security, Safety and Technical Support, Business Continuity, and Operational Support. When either the Security Manager or Logistics Lead is unavailable, the Security Operations Associate will assume their routine daily responsibilities.

The Ideal Candidate Would Also Have Experience In

• Preferably 5+ years in security operations, safety or logistics project management.

• Associate degree/equivalent or several years of equivalent work experience.


• This position requires incumbents to drive for Virginia Housing business purposes. Therefore, incumbents must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and adhere to the standards outlined in the motor vehicle-related administrative regulations and Human Resources policies as a condition of continued employment.

This position will close at midnight on 10/5/2026.

This position works on-site 5 days a week.

Hiring Range: $62,000 to $83,500.

A background and motor vehicle check will be performed as a condition of employment.

A Conflict-of-Interest Act Disclosure form and Secondary Employment Disclosure form will need to be completed as a condition of employment.

Virginia Housing requires associates to live and work within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
