Job summary

Cherokee Mental Health Institute in Cherokee, Iowa, is seeking a Communication Tech 2 for a full-time role, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. The incumbent will develop, implement and maintain security and communications systems at CMHI and CCUSO, including intercoms, paging, and patient networks.

Responsibilities include managing analog phone systems, two-way radios, AV equipment, and other electronics. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time work experience in telecommunication/radio system design, installation, or service.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain security equipment and interfaces between systems at CMHI and CCUSO.
• Maintain analog phone systems, intercoms, two-way radios, paging, alarms and patient networks.
• Manage audio-visual equipment and other electronics such as TVs, DVD players, AM/FM radios, CD players, and video gaming systems.
