Job summary

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services' Cherokee Mental Health Institute (CMHI) in Cherokee, IA is seeking a Communication Tech 2 for a full-time, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. shift.

The role oversees security equipment, analog phones, intercoms, and interfaces between systems at CMHI and CCUSO, plus radio, paging, alarms, networks, and AV gear. Applicants must pass a background check. CMHI provides inpatient psychiatric care and offers a range of supports and education services for patients

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time work experience in telecommunication/radio system design, installation, or service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security equipment, analog phone systems, intercom interfaces at CMHI and CCUSO.
• Manage two-way radio equipment, overhead paging, patient emergency alarm systems, patient networks, audio-visual equipment and other electronics.
