Job summary

Amentum is seeking Utility Cleaners to join our team in McLean, VA. You will be responsible for cleanliness of communal spaces, restrooms, workspaces, and exterior areas, using cleaning tools and supplies. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI US Government security clearance; US citizenship required.

Day and night shifts available (7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 3:30 PM–12:00 AM, Monday-Friday). Safety, accuracy, and reliability are essential as you support government facilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of general work experience.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products and equipment.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and labels on cleaners.
• Willingness to work rotational shift including days, evenings and nights, plus overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Must demonstrate satisfactory oral and written communication skills in English.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI US Government security clearance.
• Preferred: previous custodial experience and active clearance.

Responsibilities

• Mop floors, vacuum carpeted areas, sweep, dust, scrub, wax, buff and strip floors as needed.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, refilling soap and paper supplies.
• Clean and disinfect breakroom and kitchen areas.
• Empty trash and rotate refuse to outside bins.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and windows; clean mirrors.
• Maintain safe storage of chemicals and equipment; use cleaning products per instructions.
• Move and relocate furniture as required; report any damage.
• Follow safety rules and report hazards.
