Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Helper I at our Springfield, VA location. The Helper I assists one or more workers in skilled maintenance trades by performing tasks of lesser skill, such as supplying materials and tools, cleaning areas, and aiding journeymen.

Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. The role includes light physical duties and supports various trades as directed by journeyman.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and writing ability at a level necessary for successful job performance.
• Zero years of general maintenance experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeyman by holding materials or tools and supplying, lifting, and holding materials.
• Clean working areas, machine, and equipment as directed by journeyman.
• Perform other unskilled tasks to support the trade and crew.
