Job summary

Space Dynamics Laboratory seeks a mid-level Systems Engineer to help manage software development projects that support the Space Development Agency’s PWSA within our Strategic & Military Space Division. The role covers space-ground interfaces, system integration, and documentation for national security missions.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with active government security clearance or prior clearance.
• 10+ years of space systems engineering experience with space/ground subsystems.
• Ability to interpret customer requirements to determine risk areas.
• Experience in government and commercial space programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME input on defense mission space and ground systems integration.
• Assess architecture, designs, and operations for interoperability and performance.
• Draft ICDs, SOWs, test plans, ConOps, and system descriptions.
• Lead or participate in IV&V and interface work groups for space-to-ground systems.
• Maintain stakeholder communications across providers and government offices.
• Support test planning, evaluation, and disposition of deviations.
• Create programmatic and technical documentation for planning and execution.
