Job summary

Applied Cyber Concepts is seeking a Software Engineer (Level 1) with an active TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to join a Laurel, MD team supporting government cyber initiatives.

Responsibilities include designing, prototyping, and deploying secure software across full-stack architectures, plus documenting specifications and testing against government plans. Strong Java and Linux/Bash skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field with 7+ years of software engineering on similar programs.
• Alternatively, 11 years of relevant software engineering experience without a degree.
• Strong hands-on proficiency with Java.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and prototype software translating applied cyber research into mission capabilities.
• Create hardware and software design specs following industry-standard development practices.
• Implement robust designs with security controls, database connectivity, performance, and intuitive interfaces.
• Build and manage builds with Java, Spring, Gradle, and Docker.
• Work in Linux/Bash to build, debug, deploy, and maintain components.
• Perform unit, integration, and functional testing; document results per approved test plans.
