Job summary

Peraton seeks a Cloud Software Engineer to build cutting-edge cloud solutions supporting national security in Laurel, MD. You will contribute to AI/ML-enabled capabilities on large-scale AWS infrastructure and work within a high-impact, integrated product team.

You should bring 5+ years in software engineering, strong Java/C/C++, and experience with cloud security, containers, and CI/CD practices. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years in software development/engineering including requirements analysis, development, testing, and maintenance.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• 5+ years in software development using high-level languages (Java, C, C++).
• Experience with UNIX/Linux (Red Hat) environments and RESTful services.

Responsibilities

• Develop cloud-based software for national security in AWS environments.
• Engage in requirements analysis, design, development, integration, testing and sustainment.
• Collaborate on distributed systems using Java, C/C++, and data-processing frameworks.
• Implement and maintain automation with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
