Job summary

CATHEXIS is seeking a dynamic Product Owner to join our team supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) with AI applications. You will work with engineers to translate government needs into actionable development tasks, manage the product backlog, and ensure alignment with contract requirements and security standards.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years as a Product Owner or Product Manager, a Bachelor’s degree, and experience in federal procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Active Secret or higher clearance is required.
• 3–5 years minimum as Product Owner/Product Manager or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with DLA, supply chain and logistics, or agency procurement/compliance.
• Experience backlog management and Agile/Scrum/SAFe delivery frameworks.
• Strong understanding of federal procurement lifecycle (RFIs, RFPs, proposals).
• Excellent written and verbal communication with government clients and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate product vision, strategy and roadmap aligned with agency mission and contract requirements.
• Own and prioritize the product backlog with clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Serve as primary liaison between government stakeholders, CORs and internal delivery teams.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and remove delivery blockers with Scrum Masters.
• Evaluate AI/ML tools for applicability to government modernization and present recommendations.
• Define success metrics and KPIs, report progress to leadership and sponsors.
• Ensure delivered capabilities comply with federal IT standards and security guidelines.
