Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Platform Operations Engineer to join a high-impact team supporting the DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP). You will ensure uptime, reliability, and performance for a containerized microservices stack, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to centralize TCPED of OSINT across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise.

The role requires hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and cloud services (preferably AWS), plus strong incident

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering/CS/Systems Engineering or related with 8+ years experience
• Master's degree with 6+ years experience or equivalent
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II+ cert (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, SSCP, CISSP)
• Ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) certification
• Experience with Kubernetes, GitLab pipelines, Linux, and containerized environments
• Experience with cloud services (prefer AWS) and enterprise scale production systems
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Logstash, Kibana, Keycloak
• Strong cross-functional coordination and execution; communicate under pressure
• Preferred: Agile methods, dashboards for SLIs, and DevOps tooling

Responsibilities

• Ensure uptime, performance, and capacity planning for a large-scale microservices platform
• Leverage monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve issues
• Lead triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident reviews
• Define and track reliability metrics such as SLIs and SLOs
• Participate in SAFe Agile release planning, scrums, and cross-team coordination
